When you make Earthing a daily practise you put out the 'small spot fires' of inflammation every day and don't allow it to become a ragging 'bush fire' so to speak, and this in turn will allow your body to repair and function as it is meant to in an ideal natural situation.
The electrons from Earthing could be considered as nature's biggest Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory. Most of us know that we can get antioxidants through fresh fruit, veggies, superfoods and supplements, however, in today's world we would have to be eating them by the bucketful to counteract the huge amount of free radicals our body is bombaded with everday from chemicals, pollution, mobile phones, fast foods, toxic water, etc. Concentrated antioxidants help to provide protection from cellular damage that can accelerate the aging process and bring on diseases, so you need to get as many as you can in today's modern world.
Grounding or Earthing benefits may seem “new age,” but in reality it is mankind’s earliest form of medicine…that we didn’t even know we were using. When you use the Earth’s abundant free electrons, you are giving your body the biggest and most powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory available!
Here are some ways to ground, or practice earthing:

Spend 30 minutes walking barefoot on a beach or in the grass.

Swim in a lake, river or ocean.

Work in the garden without gloves, letting your hands contact with the soil.

Sit or lay in the grass or on a beach.

Sit in the branches of a tree.

Go for a hike or walk in the woods and sit down on a boulder or fallen tree.
In all these ways, you’re simply connecting with or being grounded to the Earth.
Earthing is free, it will never run out and your body will thank you as it is able to balance the electrical systems constantly at work – cardiovascular, nervous, respiratory, digestive and immune system just to name a few.

1. You’ll strengthen your core – these are the main muscles in your body responsible for holding you upright and keeping everything together. If your core is strong, you’ll feel stronger and healthier
2. Your back muscles will thank you – all those hours of sitting behind a desk can wreak havoc on your back, but if those muscles are strong, they’ll withstand that torture a lot better.
3. You can get that desired flat tummy – when planking, you contract your abdominal muscles and doing this regularly will make them stronger and more toned.
4. It burns fat – well, not just like that but when you do some strength training, your metabolic
rate increases and burns fat, long after you’ve stopped the exercise (for today!)
5. You’ll stand straighter and sit better – with a strengthened core, you will have better posture.
6. Your mood will improve – as with any type of physical activity, your mood will lift but planks have the ability to assist in relaxing all those muscles that bunch up when tension and stress take over
7. You won’t fall over your own feet – because planking improves your balance, which is directly because your core is stronger.
